Leftover Steak Fried Rice Recipe
Turn that leftover steak into a great meal tomorrow. With an Asian twist. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s quick, it’s easy with a little planning. Only one skillet. Before heading to dinner, put the rice-maker to use. You’ll use that rice the next day.
Ingredients
Sliced leftover steak in desirable size pieces
3 cups of yesterday’s rice. Separate rice with wet hands
3 tablespoons of sesame oil
1 cup of frozen peas and carrots (thawed)
1 small onion chopped as finely as you prefer
1 teaspoon minced garlic (Use garlic powder if you are in a hurry)
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/8 cup of soy sauce (or more if preferred)
Sliced green onions
Cooking Instructions
Lower the heat to medium and move the mixture to one-side of the skillet. Pour the lightly beaten eggs to the other side. Stir until eggs are almost done. Add the loose rice and soy sauce and stir well all together until thoroughly heated. When ready sprinkle uncooked chopped green onions over the top.
