With A Red Wine and Shallot Reduction Sauce

What a delicious recipe for Filet Mignon steak. The video shows the step-by-step of cooking the filets in a frying pan and finishing the cooking process in your oven which is preheated to about 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The steaks and the red wine reduction are cooked in the same pan.

The raw steaks should be brought to room temperature and then coated with crushed, coarse black peppercorns and sea salt on both sides of the filet Mignon. Sear the steaks in a medium-hot pan for a few minutes on all sides. Then place the seared steaks in the oven to continue the cooking process until your desired temperature is reached.

Throw fresh spinach in the same pan for about 30 seconds until wilted. Place the wilted spinach on a serving plate. That becomes the base for serving the steak. In the same pan, add a bit of oil, shopped shallots, red wine and butter to make the red wine reduction sauce that will be topped over your steaks.

Ahh. The perfect delicious meal for two.
